    Street No.9

Street number 9 During the first month of coronavirus lockdown I stepped out home to photograph my house street . I felt that everything was sad , depressing , empty and quite. There were no people and no cars . Except one person working as a guard for my neighbors . I had a creepy feeling that the world has ended but the birds sounds made me feel that there is still some hope and life on earth.

I really miss my aerobics classes that I started 8 months ago. The coach is so professional and she is in contact with all the group members ,giving us advice and motivation on her whatsup group during the lockdown. Since I’m a fibromyalgia patient aerobics became a great treatment for me . It eases pain ,makes me move more easily ,and sleep better. It also makes me feel positive and happy . I ‘m so glad that I could keep my self motivated and active for 10 weeks ,hoping never to stop. This is a self portrait I took during my home workout.

    Sudanese national anthem

The lockdown did stop Sudanese people from celebrating the first commemoration on April that overthrew president Omer Al Bashir. I was very disappointed because I wanted to photograph that day so badly , but home quarantine was still ongoing . Staying home is the only way to keep me and my family safe. The Sudanese Professional Association has suggested some ideas for home celebration from 6-11 April at 1:00pm during the lockdown such as lighting candles, singing the national anthem, raising flags on houses, and sharing photos and videos of the revolution on social media. My family lit candles and sang the national anthem.

    My journey through heaven

Photography has always been my passion , I could not imagine my life without it .It’s my only way to tell what’s happening around in my life and other’s. During the coronavirus lockdown I started to be stressed , and scared of losing my beloved ones. So my only way to escape from my feelings and the overthinking is to photograph at home .My camera never failed to keep me feel safe and powerful. It took me to an endless journey everyday through the lockdown .While watching the strong wind , I noticed how the branches of an old huge tree were bending and straightening very fast . I believe that it was a message to me to stay strong and positive.
