Sudan Sit-in Protests 2019
December 2018 witnessed demonstrations in several Sudanese cities. Atbara sparked off peaceful protests in many Sudanese cities, repudiating rising cost of living, Lack of basic health care services, shortage of cash, and snaking fuel queues as well as corruption and high inflation rate.
Protestors called for president Omar Albashir`s resignation; In a violence free form of expression; calling for democracy, education, economy, and healthcare systems reforms.
The sit-in started on 6th April 2019 and the demonstrators are still urging for a technocrat government, halt of austerity measure, and a better future.
In this project my lens documents the growing crowds outside of the military headquarter during the sit-in and still ongoing fueled by sincere patriotic spirits.
